What we do
drugtest.co is the trusted reference for how drug and alcohol testing actually works — test types, detection windows, panels, workplace compliance, at-home and clinical guidance. We write for employers and HR, parents and caregivers, athletes and coaches, healthcare and recovery audiences, and individuals.
What we don't do
We do not publish, host, or optimize for content that helps someone defeat, evade, adulterate, or cheat a drug test. This is both an ethics requirement and a deliberate brand position: the category online is dominated by gray-market sites pushing synthetic urine, detox kits, and "how to pass" guidance, and we exist as the explicit alternative.
We do not sell tests, collect specimens, run a lab, employ MROs, or provide medical, legal, or HR advice. When you need any of those services, see qualified MROs and qualified counsel.
How we source content
Every editorial page on drugtest.co is built from primary sources:
- SAMHSA Mandatory Guidelines for federally regulated workplace testing.
- U.S. Department of Transportation 49 CFR Part 40 for DOT-regulated testing procedures.
- American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) for clinical drug testing.
- FDA for at-home test device guidance.
- Peer-reviewed clinical and analytical chemistry literature for substance and method detail.
We cite every page inline, and every clinical or compliance article carries an explicit list of sources at the foot of the page. See our editorial policy for the standards in detail.
